What we think:
Helicopter lifted to the summit, you're ready to live it hard and fast. From nature's heights you're off to take the maximum free-ride in Freak Out. Only perfect track free white powder is in front of you so it's time to show them what you're made of as you speed down the side of a mountain doing some of the craziest tricks ever known. It's free-ride so there are no rules to hold you back as you race, jump and slalom your way down.
Freak Out Extreme Freeride is the extreme alpine skiing simulator letting you get off that beaten snow track and do what ever you want. Forget those starter slopes and the dreaded Snow-plough, you're going to virgin powder and the ultimate thrill ride down the side of a perfectly good mountain.
Whichever game mode that you choose you'll have to really prove that you are the King of the mountain, and that's King with a capital K, as you'll jump almost a hundred feet down to ravines, shoot across snow covered canyons and slalom between pines and be able to brag about it at the end - like all good extreme sports persons.
You'll be starting by understanding the mysteries of the basic insane jump then work your way up to series of tricks that will stun and amaze the young and old.
With all these stunts that even a drugged yeti wouldn't attempt if his life insurance was up to date (which it wouldn't be, being a mythological creature and all), you'll be earning points to evolve your character as well as betting on how you do in the races to buy better duds and equipment for your skier lad (or lass), and that's a lot of stuff to buy.
And once you've learnt how to hold your own through the career mode and freeride you can take your mad stunt skills to the multiplayer mode either in Hotseat, splitscreen, Lan or internet up to 8 players can meet up and race - or just lord over each other with their skillz.
A mention has to be made for the music with some wicked tunes to accompany your rides, some exceptional skate-punk to break your neck to.
