Description & Game Features

From the rise of early civilisations in Mesopotamia to the struggle for survival in the battles of WWII, Civilisation III: Complete lets you rewrite the history to nine great eras of mankind! In the Conquests expansion pack you'll find some distinct scenarios, zooming in on particularly turbulent times in history from the classic stone-age to spaceships-bound-for-Alpha Centauri. And Play the World adds some multiplayer and even more civilizations to a total of 31 for your expansionist dreams.
he original Civilisation game was a big hit. It was followed by a sequel that was also a big hit. Then came Civilisation III, with cleaner graphics and endless improvements to the nuances of the game (such as the addition of national borders and the possibility of 'conquering' with culture), it was another big hit.
Civilization III: Complete is no exception. Including both the original Epic game (conquer the world, defeat your enemies etc.) and the smaller Play the World expansion (new units, new rules) by far the most interesting section of the Complete is Conquests.
Conquests features nine scenarios each with their custom rules, units, and unique victory conditions, so it's not just the epic Civilisation on a new map. You can play through the rise of Rome and take your throne as emperor to the Roman empire, or become Hannibal and lead your war elephants to stop the Roman invasion! or some more interesting scenarios not often covered in the history books of the gaming world.

Civ 3 Review by Pseudo_991458_

I have played Civ 3 on and off since 2001. At one time it was my main game. Its graphics and sound aren't great but it's a classic. I play it every now and again and still love its charm. There are a few issues I have, the A.I isn't very clever and the turns are slow on Multiplayer games, but other than that it's a great game and best for multiplayer. I still like this version of Civ more than Civ 4.
